Description
My first try on polygonal style 3D modeling. It was for a contest held by my 3d vfx school. I took second place!
The mountains and hill were made in ZBrush, which were then exported to Maya where I modeled the rest of the elements such as trees, birds, and the character. Basic RenderMan materials were applied to the mesh for simple colors. For lighting, one directional light as the sun, and two disk lights, one for the mountains and one the hill to give the shading a blueish tint. A volumetric fog was placed to give an impression of depth and distance.
